Mark, Thanks for the part numbers. I checked with JD and the whole cab will run about 1500-1600. I really wish someone else made a cab, but it doesn't sound as if they do, so I guess I'll have to get one from JD. If I put a heater in maybe it will be warm enough. Thanks for your help!

Craig, I've grown up in the landscape business and have seen guys come and go. They have new fancy equipment, and a nice new truck, a couple years later it's all for sale. My advice is to buy used equipment at auction if possible and upgrade as money permits. This is not a get rich quick business but it is a very fun and enjoyable business for me and my father. Is this a new lawn? If so, the best thing to use would be a pulverizer if there is no grass or weeds. If you have a lot of grass and weeds till first and then use the pulverizer to level and prepare your seedbed. If you have any other questions let me know, I do this for a living. As far as building a pulverizer I've never done it. If you are just needing it for your lawn rent one from a rental yard, they rent them by the day and you really shouldn't need it more than a day at a time.

John, the Brillion seeder is an excellent seeder. I bought a used one 15 years ago and completely rebuilt it and still have it sitting in my shop today. I purchased a new one 2 years ago for $2100. $575 sounds resonable as long as nothing major is wrong. Parts are relatively easy to obtain and I do have a parts manual if you need any numbers etc. Let me know the condition of it and if it has been used recently. Hope this helps a little bit in you decision.

Have you considered the JD 790? I'm getting one delivered this week, best compact tractor JD makes for the money. But it all depends on what you are going to use it for as to how big is big enough.
